Unbox your SONU Sleep System, place rolled up mattress where you will sleep, then carefully remove the outer plastic wrapping.
Note: To avoid accidentally damaging any mattress materials, cut the plastic only with the safe cutting tool provided with your SONU, not with scissors or a knife.

Allow time for the mattress to unfold and expand fully, enabling all materials to take shape and provide full support.
Note: Expansion can take up to 72 hours to reach full supportiveness

Remove the SONU Support Pillows from the Comfort Channel, then move mattress into final place without grasping the Channel walls.
IMPORTANT: Always remove all pillows before moving the mattress. When moving it, lift only the main body area of the mattress to avoid damaging the Channel area.

Position the head of the mattress flush against a wall or headboard so that the upper wall of the Comfort Channel is firmly supported.
IMPORTANT: Do not sleep on the mattress unless its headboard area is fully up against a solid supporting surface. If the Comfort Channel isn’t properly supported in this fashion, damage to the mattress and discomfort while sleeping may occur.

Unpack the fitted sheet from the included SONU Sheet Set, align the Comfort Channels and fit it over your mattress.
Note: To help with positioning, all SONU fitted sheets have an interior care tag on the right side of the foot end. When in place, ensure the bottom of the Comfort Channel is completely flat by pulling slack into the Channel and pushing the corners into place.

Unpack the included Support Pillowcase Set, fit over every Support Pillow, then place back into the Comfort Channel.
IMPORTANT: The Support Pillowcase Set is included in the box in a separate package from the Sheet Set. Use the enveloped ends of the pillowcases to keep the Support Pillows securely enclosed. Stack the Support Pillows in sets of two, just as they arrived.

Place your favorite pillows for sleeping on top of the SONU Support Pillows. It is now time to immerse yourself in comfort like never before...
IMPORTANT: Hug your pillow at an angle on top of the Support Pillows to bridge the Channel and support your head and upper torso, while your arms and shoulders enjoy extra space for maximum comfort and pressure relief that can only be achieved with a SONU. If your top pillow is too bulky or puts pressure on your neck, upgrade to the SONU Top Pillow Deluxe as it has been designed to pair with the Comfort Channel.

Frequently Asked Questions
Contrary to what some might believe, the Comfort Channel is not conducive to numbness or tingling in your arm. When a body part “falls asleep”, as the saying goes, it is due to lack of circulation, or not enough blood reaching the body part. When your arm starts to tingle or loses feeling it is caused by a position you are in that is cutting off this necessary circulation that supplies oxygen to the nerves that run between your neck and your arm. Nerves have their own blood supply, so pressure on a nerve cuts off that blood supply and the nerve becomes starved for oxygen and shuts down. This happens often on traditional flat mattresses as you are forced to overextend your shoulders and arms into positions in which they are not meant to rest, which can cut off this circulation. While side sleeping on a flat mattress you are forced to apply unavoidable pressure on these body parts which results in the discomfort and lack of circulation that can cause this numbness. The SONU Sleep System’s patented Comfort Channel design helps to greatly relieve these pressures on your arms, and with this relief comes improved circulation and reduced chances of numbness.

We are currently shipping mattresses within 3 to 5 days! SONUs are made-to-order, so on occasion it may take a little more time to get to you, as they’re not sitting in a warehouse collecting dust. The mattress, once compressed, will ship directly to your door. You will be emailed a tracking number as soon as your order ships.
FedEx will deliver your SONU to your door, no signature required.
You can pair the SONU with any platform, box spring, bed frame or simply the floor, as long as the headboard area of the mattress is flush against a solid surface for support. We also highly recommend using an adjustable foundation.
Every SONU’s height is 14 inches, while the width and length dimensions are the same as standard U.S. mattress sizes. The Comfort Channel dimensions describe the negative space in the mattress, while the Support Pillow dimensions describe a single pillow, of the 2 for Twin XL and 4 for Queen, King and Cali King, that are stacked in the Channel.
